Backpack and Clothing Drive Results Q3 2024

Greater Phoenix Scooter Club’s 2024 Q3 Fundraising Effort Brings in $6,000 in Clothing and Supplies

The Greater Phoenix Scooter Club, led by Executive Director Jason Kelly and dedicated team member Jami Carlson, is thrilled to report the success of our third-quarter 2024 fundraising campaign! Thanks to generous markdowns from Walmart and Old Navy, our team secured over $6,000 worth of clothing and essential items, setting the stage for a significant positive impact on our community. We’re proud to announce that this drive brought in over 1,000 pieces of clothing and over 100 backpacks—all ready to benefit local families and fosters in need.

This year, we were able to take advantage of discounted prices, scoring $2 and $3 items at Old Navy and $1 items at Walmart’s Thomas and 40th Street location. These discounts stretched every dollar further, enabling us to make an even bigger difference than we’d hoped. Every purchase added to a growing collection of shirts, pants, jackets, and backpacks, allowing us to exceed our goals in both quality and quantity.

Throughout the campaign, Jason and Jami played a pivotal role in rallying support and managing logistics. In addition to photos of Jason and Jami showcasing the results of this drive, you can watch a heartfelt video of Jami Carlson sharing insights on the campaign, the impact these items will have, and the importance of supporting our community through tough times.

The support from Walmart, Old Navy, and our incredible community has empowered the Greater Phoenix Scooter Club to make a real difference this year. Thank you to everyone who contributed, shopped, sorted, and transported these items. Together, we’re moving our community forward, one step at a time!
