A Year of Impact, A Future of Growth

As we close out our first year, I want to take a moment to reflect on an incredible journey. What started as a simple idea—a scooter club with a mission—has evolved into a thriving movement dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of Arizona’s foster children. Unlike traditional scooter clubs, we decided to ride with purpose, and that purpose is clear: to provide essential items for the over 12,000 foster children across the state who lack permanent homes.

This past year, our first Across the Valley Rally brought together an amazing group of riders, all united by a shared goal of supporting the Foster Alliance—an organization that is the backbone of resources for these children. And we’re just getting started. The Second Annual Across the Valley Rally is going to be bigger, longer, and better! We’re mapping an ambitious route from Sun City through Tempe, all the way to Gilbert and Queen Creek—so get ready for an unforgettable ride! Details and posters will be out soon, and we can’t wait to see even more of you join in.

Another massive win this year was the Pink Box Donation Drive. In our first-ever toy drive, we partnered with 15 locations and collected over 1,100 items—making it one of the largest toy drives in the state! Seeing that level of generosity from our community was beyond inspiring, and it only motivates us to aim higher in 2025.

A Huge Thank You to Our Partners

While you may have seen their logos, you might not realize just how instrumental our corporate partners have been in our success. We want to give a heartfelt thank you to:

  • Arizona Cardinals – For allowing us to participate in their Charitable Giving Ticket Program.
  • U.S. Bank – For providing us with a solid banking foundation and low-cost payment processing.
  • TKO Suites – For giving us the extra space we needed to store the massive influx of donations.
  • Old Navy (Camelback & Tempe locations) – A special shoutout to the GAP Corporation for offering us incredible discounts, stretching our donation dollars to the max.
  • Phoenix AZ Ad Agency & Imaginary Defense – For their crucial early support, helping us kickstart our donation efforts.

Our Collective Impact

At the end of the day, numbers speak louder than words. This year, together, we donated nearly 4,200 items—including clothing, toys, backpacks, games, and more—to the Foster Alliance. And every single item makes a difference in a child’s life.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we charge into the new year, we have big goals—more donation drives, more visibility for the foster system’s funding struggles, and, of course, more epic rides! And we can’t do it alone.

The Greater Phoenix Scooter Club is 100% volunteer-run. No one on the board receives a paycheck—every dollar and every donated item goes straight to the Foster Alliance. That’s our commitment, and we’re proud of it.

We’re also looking for new board members! If you’re passionate about growing this organization and making a tangible difference in the community, we’d love to have you on board.

Until then—ride safe, ride with purpose, and we’ll see you on the next ride!
