The Greater Phoenix Scooter Club offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of foster children. GPSC Direct Support

  • Roles Needed:
    • General Volunteers: Assist with various events hosted by partner charities, including setup, registration, and event management.
    • Specialized Support: Provide specific skills or services needed by the charity, such as graphic design, marketing, or administrative support.
    • Mentorship and Tutoring: Offer your time to mentor foster children, help with homework, and provide educational support.
    • Activity Coordinators: Plan and lead recreational activities, field trips, and enrichment programs for foster children.
    • Resource Organization: Help sort, pack, and distribute donated items such as clothing, hygiene products, and educational materials.
    • Office Assistance: Support administrative tasks at partner charities, including data entry, filing, and general office work.
    • Fundraising Support: Assist with fundraising campaigns, donor outreach, and grant writing efforts to help sustain and grow charity programs.

Annual Across The Valley Rally

  • Date: Last weekend of April annually
  • Roles Needed:
    • Event Setup: Help set up registration booths, signage, and rally checkpoints.
    • Registration: Assist with participant check-ins, distribute rally materials like patches, key tags, and swag bags.
    • Route Support: Provide directions and support at various checkpoints along the rally route, ensuring safety and smooth operation.
    • Social Media Team: Capture photos and videos, manage live updates on social media platforms.

Holiday Toy and Book Drive

  • Date: Mid-November to Mid-December
  • Roles Needed:
    • Drop-off Point Coordinators: Oversee donation bins at designated businesses along Central Avenue, ensure bins are well-maintained and manage logistics.
    • Promotion and Outreach: Distribute flyers, promote the drive on social media, and engage with local businesses to increase participation.
    • Collection Parade: Join the parade team as a rider, support staff, or in Santa’s U-Haul, assisting with collection and community engagement at each stop.

Back to School Supply Drive

  • Date: Late July to Early August
  • Roles Needed:
    • Donation Collection: Manage drop-off locations, sort and organize supplies, ensure all donations are appropriately logged.
    • Distribution Team: Help distribute supplies to foster children, coordinate with foster homes and organizations for delivery.
    • Community Outreach: Promote the drive through various channels, engage with local schools and community centers to maximize reach.
